The Fashion Bug’s Story: So I got married on Saturday! 🙂 I can without a doubt say it was one of the best days of my life so far. This was the legal registry office wedding so initially I hadn’t given it that much thought. We are having our big white “walking down the aisle” wedding in Ibiza in June and this has always been the one that I am more excited for. But as the 14th March 2015 got closer and I realised that I would legally be marrying the love of my life, I found myself going through a roller-coaster of emotions. The day turned out to be everything and more than I could have ever hoped for. After an initial hiccup with my hair (even though I had a trial back in January, the hair stylist did something completely different on the day and even as I left the salon pins were falling out of my hair!), I spent the afternoon sipping champagne and getting ready at The Connaught Hotel with my two closest friends and having my makeup done by the wonderful Jo Freeman who I can thoroughly recommend. The hair was also sorted out…an emergency hair stylist was sent to the hotel who gave me a chic do in literally 10 minutes. We then made our way to the Chelsea Town Hall and as soon as I saw my husband-to-be I cried, but somehow the nerves were gone and it just felt very natural. At 4pm we said our “I Do’s” and I have never been more sure that I made the right decision than I did in that moment. We went on to a private dining room to enjoy dinner and the rest of the evening with our family and friends. My mother had organised the decorations and the room looked simply stunning, from the floral arrangements to the candles to the place cards that had various “bugs” on them – an idea that my mother came up with because my now husband and I call each other “bug.” I am still so overwhelmed with how lucky we are to have such an incredible family and group of friends, and most of all how lucky I am to have got to marry my best friend. Now counting down to the big wedding in June…

The Fashion Bug’s Tips: People always say it but really try not to worry about things going wrong on your wedding day because they always will. A waiter accidentally poured ice-cream all over my skirt, and my hair was initially a disaster. But none of that really matters because its about having the best time and enjoying each moment.
