I’m excited to finally share some snaps of Mila’s nursery. There will always be things that I will add as time goes on and there are a few things I still need to complete (such as hanging up the gold prints I featured on Instagram a few months ago) but I am so happy with it and hope Mila will grow to love it too. It feels like a very calm and soothing space and I love spending time with her in her room. I knew I wanted to keep it very clean and simple and so I went with a predominantly white and grey colour scheme. I was actually shocked at the lack of chic nursery furniture available in London so I ended up ordering most of the furniture from normal furniture companies (with the exception of her cot, bedding and a few decorative items from The Nursery Window.) I wanted to create a modern look that wouldn’t feel outdated in a few years so that hopefully she can continue to enjoy it as she grows! xx

  • Hi Laura,

Gorgeous post and Mila’s nursey is beautiful! Love that it’s so neutral but lots of soft touches also!
I just had a question on your shopping for her, did you buy most things in 0-3 months or a mix of 0-3 months and 3-6 months? I feel like I’ve bought quite a few bits in 0-3 and am wondering should I move on to 3-6 months now..
    Any thoughts welcome!
    Jules x

    • Hi Jules! Thank you 🙂 regarding the clothing, i bought most things 3-6 months. I bought maybe 8 pieces in newborn size (plus lots of plain white bodysuits from john lewis that she can sleep in!) and these were fine for the first few weeks but they grow so fast and now she fits into all the 3 month bits. i got and still do get carried away with buying her clothes but honestly they grow out of everything so fast so its not worth getting that many clothes at least to begin with! hope that helps 🙂 check out these websites if you haven’t already as they have cute stuff: smallable, fancy kids, children salon and Alex & Alexa xx

      • Great thanks Laura, I have read that a lot re Newborn, so was just going to get those bits in Next, I love Alex and Alexa and Children’s Salon but haven’t heard of the other two so will check them out! I definitely have enough 0-3 months stuff for now so will move on to the next size!!! have a lovely day, Jules x

  • Hi Laura

Your nursery is stunning and such a beautiful space for you and baby Mila. I am 37 weeks pregnant with my first baby and currently putting the final touches to our nursery. I love the white pillow in Mila’s cot that has her name embroided on it. Could you let me know where this is from? Thank you x

    • Hi Katy, thanks so much! Congrats on your pregnancy – I am so excited for you enjoy every second of it when your baby arrives! Ive updated it quite a bit since this post – I guess rooms are never really finished and always a bit of a working progress! It was actually a gift for Mila from a good friend of ours – I will ask her and let you know as I am not sure where she got it from. xx
