I love wearing dresses in the summer, you all seem to respond really well when I do wear one and all of my wishliists are FULL of them so I wanted to do a proper dress edit. I have included lots of items that are currently on sale as well as little black dresses, little white dresses (my personal favourite category), real statement pieces (btw I THINK I found my dress finally for Mila’s birthday party!!) as well as a round up of dresses that you can easily wear all day long and even into the night! Day to night dresses
These dresses are great because you don’t even have to think about going home and changing after work. You can live in them all day long. Personal favourites include this Love & Lemons dress I have as well as any of the short dresses by Needle & Thread (admittedly some might be a bit too dressed up if you work in a corporate environment but otherwise totally fine.)
WOW dresses
I always talk about investing in a wow dress that makes you feel amazing every time you put it on. Last year my favourites were the Dolce & Gabbana dress as well as the pleated Self-Portrait gown and my Caroline Constas striped number. My top picks from these ones are both white – this Self Portrait gown (which I debated getting for Mila’s bday party but went with something else) and this amazing piece from the brand Backstage.
Little black dresses
A wardrobe staple and they don’t always have to be expensive. I wore this Mink Pink one a few weeks ago to dinner and its super flattering with cute little ties on the shoulders. Also love this strapless Norma Kamali one as well as this super elegant one from Roksanda.
Little white dresses
Next up is the Little White Dress which is my personal favourite type of dress in the summer months. Nothing better than complimenting sun kissed skin with a bright white piece. This one (that I have) from brand De Lacy on Revolve is so easy to wear, this Mango one is so cute and very reasonably priced and this one from Ellery is just a total dream.
Best of sale dresses
And finally sales dresses. There are SO many amazing pieces on sale at the moment so it was hard to filter it down but I felt like these ones were all really special.
