Happy New Years my loves.
Its time for a wardrobe refresh. BUT more than ever before I think its important to look at that as a way to build on your existing capsule wardrobe rather than out with the old and in with the new. Ive mentioned before but I think (as with many of us!) 2020 changed me in some ways. In terms of fashion it definitely made me realise how much I value those wardrobe staples that you can go back to again and again and again. A pair of amazing jeans or leggings. A beautiful blazer. A coat that is so timeless you will wear it for years. These pieces actually make getting dressed SO much easier because you can pair so many of them together. Of course I still love having a glitzy dress (lots of those coming up for the Maldives in Feb!) but day to day I prefer a more paired down look and I would rather spend on pieces that are more wearable long term.
NET-A-PORTER is my go-to for most of my clothes shopping but especially for the basics. I know the buy is SO good and they repeat best sellers again and again so I love that you know you can always stock up if you need to. Take for example all the Commando leggings, or Spanx Look At Me Now Leggings – they regularly restock them and bring in the same style in different colour ways or fabrics (I have just ordered the velvet commando!)

There are certain brands that I often lean towards; Toteme, The Row, Commando, Loulou Studio, Lisa Yang and Khaite to name a few and I always add things I love to my wishlist and then narrow down to what do I REALLY want and love.
