The Winter Boot Edit

Happy Monday!! Hope you all had a great weekend 🙂 Big news: I think we have a name!!!! I am so grateful to all of you for your suggestions – it was one of the ones that someone suggested and not something we had thought of before. It goes really well with Mila and it works in lots of languages. I just hope I don’t go off it between now and the birth of the baby lol.

The weeks are just rolling by – I see my consultant every two weeks at the moment and it feels like I am always in her office its going by so fast. My husband is going away this weekend and I am just praying that the baby doesn’t decide to make an unexpected early arrival. Unlikely but never say never! The nursery is slowly coming along and I have even booked to do a bump shoot – not sure if I will ever share the pics or not but its something I always regret not doing first time around and even though we would love to do this at least 2 more times you can never plan these things so I am going to make sure I do it now!

Right now onto this week’s blog post: quite a few of you have been asking for it and its a great topic. So I have compiled the ultimate winter boot edit. I have to stop myself from buying lots of new boots because I am definitely tempted by my own edit – hope you find it useful! I’ve split it up into categories to make it easier – enjoy xx

Over the knee boots: These are without a doubt my personal favourite winter boots (as shown in my pics above!) I get most of mine from Stuart Weitzman (these over the knee beige ones are the best!) although I did pick up some velvet beauties in Zara last week. They go with everything – jeans, mini dresses or even styled under floaty longer dresses. Shop my edit below.

Printed: Leopard is a favourite of mine but there are some other fabulous printed ones for example these floral brocade boots (definitely an investment) and these highstreet snake print boots (I have some similar ones from Kurt Geiger I bought this winter that I can’t wait to wear again)

Colourful: There is LOTS of colour out there at the moment. From Balenciaga’s fuchsia sock boots to these gorgeous turquoise ones to these Rag&Bone red leather ones, we are spoilt for choice! The perfect way to brighten up a simple jeans and knit combo.

Sock Boots: There is no way to be more on trend at the moment than by buying a pair of sock boots. Style with cropped denim or dresses. If you really want to splurge then go for these Vetements ones (this brand kicked off the whole trend btw) or otherwise there are plenty of really afforable options such as these bright orange ones for £25 or these red ones I love for £40.)

Metallic/sequin: You can definitely have some fun with your footwear this season – who else LOVED the sparkly Chanel boots all over Instagram last week? Again lots of price options – love these sparkly boots that are under £35 but also obsessed with these Isabel Marant metallic effect ones.

Biker/black: I know it might feel like biker boots are a bit “done” but they really aren’t going anywhere. I debated getting my Balenciaga ones for quite some time earlier this year but I am so glad I did because they are as on trend as ever. Definitely worth investing in a pair. Also love these Givenchy ones but I would say go for one or the other and Kurt Geiger do a great pair of combat boots for a more reasonable price you can check out here.

White boots: There is no stopping it white boots are another trend that is firmly staying put. I STILL haven’t worn my Chloe studded white ones but am determined to do so in the next few weeks (they have been sitting in a box for almost a year eek!) These Gucci ones are divine.

Velvet boots: And last but not least one of my absolute favourite trends this season: velvet. Well its been a trend for a while but its back this season and its more amazing than ever. Splurge on the ultimate velvet over the knees here or go for these Steve Madden boots I have in black that are just so comfortable and practical.
