I’m wearing…ASOS dungarees, Zara sweater and Chanel shoes.
What I realised this weekend is that sometimes you really don’t have to go too far from home in order to have a break from London. I love my city and right now I couldn’t imagine my life anywhere else, but every once in a while you need to completely escape in order to rest and recharge. Usually I am the first to suggest hopping on a plane for a mini getaway abroad, but recently I have been craving a weekend of doing nothing other than going long muddy walks in the English countryside. Luckily for me my parents live just an hour outside of London so spending a weekend in wellies is easily accomplished (although admittedly I didn’t actually wear wellies or step into any mud this weekend.)
A twenty minute drive from their house is Hever Castle – the childhood home of Anne Boleyn – which is actually less of a castle and more of a large country house. However the Italian Gardens on the estate more than make up for the castle’s shortcomings and I would thoroughly recommend a visit to anyone that happens to be in that area.
Dungarees have very much become a staple in my wardrobe and they are the perfect transitional piece for September’s erratic weather. Pairing them with some Chanel sneakers is my idea of a perfect weekend outfit! xx FBB
