Happy Monday everyone! Although technically today is not the anniversary we celebrate, it has been one year to the day since my husband and I legally married and I do think the good things in life should be celebrated as often as possible. I love looking back at the photos and remembering the insane happiness, nerves and excitement we felt. Getting married really is (for most of us anyway) a once in a lifetime experience and thinking back to that day what I loved about it was that it was so intimate. We only invited a few close family and friends and it was very low key so it didn’t have all the pressure that a big wedding often has (although saying that my “actual” wedding weekend in June was probably the best weekend of my life!) There were moments in the day where it felt like I was there alone with my husband in our own little bubble of joy.
Having a fashion blog, I obviously love looking back at my outfit too and remembering what fun it was to choose what I was going to wear. I always knew I wanted to wear white for the legal wedding as well as the actual big day but I wanted to add a touch of something different and I am glad I opted for the blue Manolos – these will always be one of my favourite pair of shoes!
I thought it was appropriate then to post this look today – where I am predominantly wearing cream/white and the shoes from my actual wedding day. It really feels like Spring has arrived and I am slowly packing away the winter coats and turning to jackets instead. This jacket is a recent high-street find from Zara and perfect for Spring – I’m a big fan of embroidery at the moment! xx
