The Fashion Bug’s Story: This Saturday afternoon, blessed with beautiful blue skies, I accompanied a friend of mine to the Chestertons Polo In The Park at Hurlingham Park. I have always been a big fan of events such as polo and for me they are an essential part of the British summer. Now I’m not going to pretend that I have a vast knowledge of how the game actually works, but it’s enjoyable to watch (think beautiful horses and lots of aggressive charging.) However what is really the highlight for me is the people watching and what crazy characters you can find. All in all it makes for an extremely fun day out. And besides, who doesn’t love a bit of Pimm’s in the sun?
The Fashion Bug’s Tips: I wore an Equipment dress for the occasion and I would thoroughly recommend one for a sporting event. The classic French brand have a variety of prints and styles to choose from. For me the key to dressing for a polo match is keeping it simple….and wearing comfortable shoes! You will be walking around on grass all day long and there is nothing worse than sinking into the mud with a new pair of heels so I am all about wedges!
